Major Exports of Malawi

Malawi’s top export commodities are predominantly agricultural products, with raw tobacco being the leading export, accounting for a significant share of the country’s total export revenue. Other major exports include tea, which is highly valued in international markets, and sugar, which contributes substantially to the economy. Additionally, Malawi exports dried legumes such as pigeon peas, as well as nuts and oil seeds, reflecting the country’s strong agricultural sector. These commodities are mainly shipped to destinations like South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and India, which serve as key markets for Malawi’s agricultural produce.
