Applicant must apply as an entity a. Entity registration i.e registration of a company, board etc b. Require registration certificate , introduction letter or application letter including a recommended ID of the author of the letter c. The company must also represent a registered proxy, who must be in the system already and who is then linked to the Traffic Registration certificate. The Proxy must also have a traffic card which is linked to the Traffic registration. |

After Traffic Registration Certificate a. Organizations apply for motor vehicle importer certificate. i. Validity period is 12 months ii. Fee is based on the category of the importers certificate 1. Importers for business (commercial use) a. Foreigners and indigenous Malawians b. Companies c. Individuals 2. Importation for own use (noncommercial) a. Individuals, Company b. No importation of more than 5 vehicles per year if you are an individual and the importation is for noncommercial use c. Need for application forms which are found at all Road traffic offices i.
