We are pleased to announce that Buy Malawi Day will be held on the 30th of May, 2023, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry at the gateway mall in Lilongwe. This event aims to promote local products and services and encourage citizens to support the country's economy. The event will be opened by His Honorable Simplex Chithyola, the Minister of Trade and Industry and we are honored to have him as the guest of honor. His presence will inspire us to support Malawian-made products and services.

BUY MALAWI EVENT DAY 2023

We are pleased to announce that Buy Malawi Day will be held on the 30th of May, 2023, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry at the gateway mall in Lilongwe. This event aims to promote local products and services and encourage citizens to support the country's economy.

The event will be opened by His Honorable Simplex Chithyola, the Minister of Trade and Industry and we are honored to have him as the guest of honor. His presence will inspire us to support Malawian-made products and services.

 Buy Malawi Day is usually celebrated every year on the 18th of March. The day was set aside to commemorate the Buy Malawi Strategy initiative that was launched on 18th March 2016. It is a day whereby every Malawian including the public sector, the private sector, and the civil society needs to consider the impact of buying local goods and services on our industrialization drive and the general economic growth of our country.

On this special day, we usually organize an event to showcase local goods and services. However, after experiencing disruptions from rains in the past the BMS Secretariat has set aside a date of 30th May to be suitable for the event. We have a wide range of products, from food, clothing, and accessories, to handicrafts, and much more. We guarantee that our products are of high quality and affordable prices.

Therefore, we invite everyone to participate in the event and show their support for our local entrepreneurs. This event is an opportunity for us to build a stronger economy and create more job opportunities for our citizens.
